Even though there were constant varieties of difficult challenges like fear of heights, unexpected minor injuries, we still kept our heads up and supported each other. There were moments that I wanted to give up, but with the teamwork and dedication, I continued to hike with a positive attitude.

It was truly an eye-opening and amazing experience to be fully immersed in nature. There were moments where I questioned my decision, but looking back now, going on the Journey was one of the best decisions of my life.

I loved paddling right beside the rocks to gaze at the starfish and anemones! Each day, we explored new islands and discovered the significance they have to BC’s history.

For four days, we hiked in the rain, through the forest and up mountains, exploring the trails once walked by the Hudson Bay fur traders. Though hiking with a 60lb pack was challenging, it was amazing to see how close we had all gotten and how we could all rely on each other for support.

On my Journey, I went caving in Strathcona Provincial Park. I crawled into spaces the sun has never touched, saw crystals and ancient minerals hidden deep beneath the Earth, and sat in pitch-black caverns where it felt like minutes passed in seconds. My Journey allowed me to experience things I never would in my everyday life.
