Virtual to Reality: Gaming Comes to Life

What I’m into: I love gaming and so does my team. Like Fortnite, we want to build a structure outdoors and play nerf tag on the first day, and then paintballing on the second!

After working diligently Tinklyn achieved goals but also went beyond the expected plan. As a young individual, Tinklyn actively volunteered and gave back to the community. Motivated to make an impact, she expanded her Art class and raised over $600 in three months. This fundraising experience was paramount for her because it taught her how to be more accountable for the local community. This experience has equipped Tinklyn with leadership skills and vision by inspiring people and working with team members.

How the Award will get you there:

Goal: To create and play a live-action version of your favorite video games, using the city as your playground and incorporating elements of culture and history.

Overnight at a hostel or campsite. Day two, switch themes and continue the adventure. Culminate in a showdown battle royale at the final destination.

Preparation idea: Research video games and city culture, plan locations to visit. Prepare costumes, props, and equipment. Check weather, transit, and location hours. Pack personal items, snacks, and water. Plan meals and budget.
