Overseeing the program is incredibly rewarding as a teacher leader. The [Award] challenges students to move out of their comfort zone. They give back to their community through service, they choose a new skill to develop, and commit to improving their physical fitness. They also need to plan and complete an adventurous journey – for many of our students, this is the first time they have ever embarked on a wilderness adventure.
